Voka HITT 2025: Health, Industry & Technology Tomorrow

On October 1, 2025, in the Wintercircus of Ghent, Voka East Flanders unveiled HITT — Health, Industry & Technology Tomorrow, an ambitious future plan looking toward 2050, developed in collaboration with entrepreneurs, knowledge institutions, and policy makers.

HITT focuses on three key arenas: technology, industry, and health — areas where East Flanders intends to excel internationally. Among its bold targets: growing from 3 to 25 unicorns, increasing industrialization from 14.3% to 25%, and expanding higher education student numbers to over 150,000.

The evening offered engaged debates, insight into regional challenges and innovation opportunities, plus the unveiling of a vision book — all as part of a shared call to action to shape the future together.
