The Sage of the Ros Beiaard 2025

From late September to early October 2025, the Oktoberhallen in Wieze (Lebbeke) was the stage for The Sage of the Ros Beiaard — a grand theatre spectacle featuring over 80 actors, dancers, horse riders and extras.

Based on Les Quatre Fils Aymon, the story follows Reynout and his brothers — the Four Heemskinderen — caught in the turbulent conflict between their father Lord Aymon and Charlemagne. A tale of ideals, sacrifice, betrayal and redemption, woven with magic, humor and intense emotion.

Directed by Stijn De Wolf, musically led by Geert Baetens, with choreography by Ingrid Coppieters, the production brought together elaborate costumes, immersive scenery and dramatic special effects — a full sensory journey where sound, image and lighting unite in spectacle.
